「公益財団法人 知床自然アカデミー」に改称しました

公益財団法人知床自然大学院大学設立財団は、2025年4月より、「公益財団法人 知床自然アカデミー」に改称し、新たな組織名で活動を行うこととなりましたのでお知らせいたします。
当財団は2013年の設立以来、野生生物と人との共存を担う人材養成のための教育機関設立などを目指し、知床ネイチャーキャンパスなどの各種事業を展開してきました。今回の名称変更は、より幅広い対象や内容を掲げ、知床ネイチャーキャンパスを核とした教育活動を続けていくための新たなスタートと捉えています。
今後とも当財団の活動に変わらぬご支援、ご協力のほどをよろしくお願いいたします。

Notification of Foundation Name Change to “Shiretoko Nature Academy”
We are pleased to announce that our foundation name has changed from Shiretoko Institute of Wildlife Management to Shiretoko Nature Academy, effective April 1st, 2025.
Since our establishment in 2013, the foundation has been developing various projects, including Shiretoko Nature Campus, with the aim of establishing an educational institution to foster human resources who will play a vital role in the coexistence of wildlife and people. We consider this name change as a fresh start to continue the educational activities, with the Nature Campus at their core, with a wider range of targets and contents.
We thank you all for your continued support and cooperation in our activities.

＜新ロゴについて＞
流氷（知の循環）、波紋（知の波及）、夕焼けと山（知床の風景）、本（知の蓄積）の要素から、知床の自然そのものが「教育の場」であることを示しています。
知床のフィールド（大地）を「開かれた本」に見立て、そこから「知」が波及していく様子を知床らしいモチーフで表現しています。
[About the New Logo]
There are 4 elements for the logo: drift ice, which is typical natural phenomenon in Shiretoko (circulation of knowledge), ripples (spreading of knowledge), sunset and mountains (landscape of Shiretoko), book (accumulation of knowledge). These 4 elements symbolize that the nature in Shiretoko itself serves as the “place for education”.
The logo reflects the connection among the sea, rivers, and land, which is the natural features in Shiretoko. Also, the design represents the field of Shiretoko (lands) as an “open book”, and expresses how “knowledge” spreads outward, using motifs which are unique to Shiretoko.
